THINK NEED skiN girl bot unity

A new character model is definitely on my list of changes ^^

Absolutely loved this! So much potential. The mapping of the environments and surreal atmosphere were just fantastic, and felt non-linear even though progression is actually fairly straightforward. Your approach to the "uncanny" concept worked perfectly. Believe it or not, I enjoyed the architecture and layout of this mall more than the one in Silent Hill 3. They're obviously very different, but for me at least, that's high praise! Obviously the puzzling and item hunting were minimal, given the scope of the project, but even those aspects show a lot of potential and seemed very natural. The enemy concept, though again fairly minimal, is really creative. I'm sure I missed a few things, but I'll probably play it again sometime.

I loved the feel of the controls, and I hope you consider doing more with this third person fixed camera/tank controls scheme, because it played very smoothly and I'm always looking for more games in that vein but with their own unique style. It's a dream of mine to learn UE and make something like that; this is one of the best and most ambitious experiments in that realm I've seen in a long time.

The camera angle triggers got a little wonky here and there, but I did manage to push the blocks correctly the first time, which was cool. Someone else said the enemy balance could be improved, and I suppose that's true. The inventory screen was a little confusing, but I quickly figured out what to do with it anyway. It also took me a minute to figure out I had a flashlight and that I could manually reload. For what the game is, though, these criticisms aren't a big deal. Really cannot wait to see whatever you do next!

It's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed playing my little game and that it has so much potential in your eyes!

Your detailed feedback on the mapping, atmosphere, enemy concept, and controls scheme are much appreciated, and I'm thrilled to hear that you found the architecture and layout of the mall to be even more impressive than that of Silent Hill 3 :O.

I will take note of your comments regarding the wonky camera angles and the improvements needed for the enemy balance as it is on my backlog list of upcoming changes. It's great to know that you were able to figure out how to push the blocks correctly the first time and how to use the inventory screen, even though they may have been a bit confusing at first.

Thank you so much for your kind words and constructive feedback. It's always heartwarming to hear that a game you worked hard on resonated with players and that it inspired someone to consider making their own game someday.

I hope you continue to enjoy playing "Sundown Mall" and look forward to seeing what you do next as well ;)!

I was really surprised at how much I liked this game. But like Koolie said, when you put a block in the wrong spot, and it's against a wall, you're screwed and have to start completely over. If there was a pull mechanic added, I'd love to complete this game.

Thank you for playing my game and taking the time to share your feedback :).
I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the game, and I appreciate your suggestion regarding the push controls.

I want to let you know that I'm currently working on improving the controls, and I plan to add different controls to the pushing mechanic to make it easier for players to correct their mistakes. Nevertheless, your feedback has been incredibly helpful in identifying areas for improvement, and I hope you'll continue to enjoy playing the game as I work to make it even better.
Thank you again for playing ^^.

Hey just wanted to let you know that I have updated the game ^^

Hey there, really loving the game so far. Got stuck on a part where you move big blocks to form a bridge on a child's playground. Moved one of them wrong and now can't seem to get it out of the corner.

Is there a way to reset that room in particular or do I have to restart the game all over? Thanks!

Hey there Koolie!

Thanks for playing my game and I'm glad you're enjoying it! Sorry to hear about the block situation though, I feel your pain. I've had that happen to me before in games and it can be quite frustrating ^^"

But don't worry, I actually have a different control scheme in mind for the block moving that should solve the issue altogether. So, in the future, you won't have to worry about getting stuck on a block puzzle like this one. Unfortunately, for now, there's no way to reset that particular room.

Thanks again for playing and for the feedback! I'll definitely keep this in mind for future updates. :)

Just wanted to say that this game has a ton of potential. I played through it for YouTube which should get uploaded within a few hours (channel name is the same as this account).

With a map, tightening up the controls a bit (it feels a little loose with aiming/movement), mapping reload to controller natively, a few more enemies to really make you pick & choose your battles and some more lore you got something pretty good. Hoping this isn't the end of this project!

I'm fairly impressed with this overall.

Hey Alex :)

I'm incredibly stoked that you enjoyed the game and it was certainly a joy to watch you play through the whole thing so a huge thank you for that ^^

The project was made in about 2 weeks as part of my bachelor's dissertation ^^. As such the game sadly couldn't feature a lot of direct storytelling as it would've conflicted with my research.

As for the future of the project, I plan to take your feedback to heart and release maybe 1-2 patches that should resolve some issues that came up. There was also another optional section you missed during your playthrough
;)

Also, I plan on making another Horror game set in Sundown Mall except it will have more intricate puzzles and riddles and will be in First Person

I hope you will check it out whenever that will release. thanks for playing and I will keep at it ^^

Raven

Can't wait to check out the new project and I hope the patches for this game go smoothly. You definitely made an excellent effort here considering the limited time to piece this together. Keep it up!

I'll also definitely have to boot this up again to see what section I missed. (I'm assuming towards the end because I felt like I skipped a little chunk around there).

Hey just a heads up to let you know that I have updated the game :)

I saw! I'll do my best to check it out soon. I'm excited to see the changes. :)
